Setting the Compass - Fresh Breeze or Familiar Course?

This was the motto of the fourth conference ("4. ADÜ-Nord-Tage") held in Hamburg from May 20 to 22, 2011. 165 translators, interpreters and speakers met in the NH Hotel in Hamburg-Altona to extend their professional horizons, make new contacts and cultivate their existing networks.
The 13 workshops and 16 papers offered a broad spectrum of topics ranging from layout, typography and DTP, through software localisation, terminology handling and text adaptation for subtitling, PR, advertising, science and medicine, to voice training, conference organisation for interpreters, website design, self-marketing and legal and taxation issues.
